Science North
Located at Off Paris St. on the shores of Lake Ramsey
One of Northern Ontario's premiere tourist attractions is now more than 20 years old, but as lively as ever. Science North is made up of two futuristic snowflake-shaped science centres linked by an underground tunnel. Enjoy the on-site restaurant, science centre, exciting exhibits, IMAX theatre and Virtual Voyages ride.

Cortina Boat Cruise Leaving Science North several times daily, this one-hour cruise provides a relaxing tour of Lake Ramsey.

Dynamic Earth
This interactive earth sciences centre will take you on an unforgettable journey to the depths of the earth. Board a glass-enclosed elevator and descend seven-storeys into a rock chasm while viewing a state-of-the-art multimedia show.

Above and below ground, visitors can explore galleries and exhibits dedicated to the transformation of mining over the past century, evidence of the massive meteorite impact that created the Sudbury Basin nearly two billion years ago, and the events that shaped Sudbury's 120-year history.

The Big Nickel Of course, no visit to Sudbury would be complete without the opportunity to take your picture next to the world's biggest "chunk of change" - the nine-metre tall Big Nickel. This Canadian symbol was recently refurbished and returned to its historical location at Dynamic Earth and is a now a landmark along the TransCanada Highway.

IMAX Movie Theatre

Located at 100 Ramsey Lake Rd, off Paris St.
From June 26 to Sept. 4, visitors to Science North's 200-seat IMAX Theatre with its five-storey high screen can watch Roar: Lions of the Kalahari, Forces of Nature (also available in French), and Mystery of the Nile.

Virtual Voyages Adventure Ride
Science North's Virtual Voyages Adventure Ride combines motion simulator technology with high-resolution animation on a 7-metre-by-3-metre (24-foot-by-11-foot) screen. Three six-seat motion platforms move you in synchronization with fast-action adventures.

Sudbury Downs

Located at 400 Bonin St., Chelmsford
Enjoy the thrill of betting on live harness racing at 7:15 pm every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, May through November. Tele-theatre betting and dinner reservations at the Mardi Gras Lounge are available year-round.

Anderson Farm Museum

Located at Highway 24, Lively
Anderson Farm is a fully restored turn-of-the-century dairy farm that offers visitors a look back to a time when horse drawn machinery and windmill generated power were the standard. Spanning over 14 acres of the Sudbury area, the Anderson Farm Museum is a beautiful history lesson.

Anderson Farm was the site of one of the largest dairies in the Sudbury area in the 1920's and 1930s. Visitors to the museum can explore the farmhouse, the barn, and the milkhouse where the Anderson family lived and worked while operating the dairy.

The Anderson farmhouse has nine rooms available for public viewing including the kitchen, the parlour, the bedrooms and the dining room. Each room is decorated with period furnature and decor including an antique Singer sewing machine that is operated by a foot pedal.
